1. to make the organization work well
Teachers join different research groups of learning areas by their specialties. Teaching materials are chosen and edited to develop the school-centered curriculum by the characteristics of school district and conditions, parents’ expectation, and students’ needs. "Curriculum Development Committee" is organized to review the whole school curriculum plans to ensure the quality of education. Curriculum Committee members include representatives of the school administrators, teachers, parents and community delegates. And if necessary, experts and scholars may be hired to attend the Committee and consulted.
2. to promote the development of courses:
For school-based curriculum planning, school is the main part coinciding with students’ physical and mental development. The curriculum centered by students’ experience also combines the internal and external school resources and trains students with the basic capabilities.
3. to develop team teaching:
The environment for teachers to talk with each other is created with the implementation of peer inspection. Teachers cooperate and support each other to provide students diversified learning contents.
4. to enhance teachers’ specialties:
In order to encourage teachers to develop themselves actively, seminars are held with a view to developing the school curriculum.
5. to integrate teaching resources:
Those such as the combination of community resources, the promotion of the use of the library, folk physical education, outdoor teaching with community resources, classroom management, and students counselling fully work well by the cooperation of parents and teachers.
6. to seek resources actively:
Planning classes of diversified activities after school actively not only enriches the learning content but also activates the school atmosphere. Applying for “inter-school exchange funds,” “Hakka life school,” 'Teaching Guidance” from the Bureau of Education equips school facilities substantially.
7. to evaluate curriculum:
The establishment of curriculum evaluation fitting in with school planning concludes formative and summative evaluation. The results of evaluation are to improve the curriculum, to compile teaching materials and to enhance teaching and learning effectiveness.
